  1. No video footage of the actual birth? Photos taken during birth?

  3. Congrats! Looking forward to more details. Some of the comments on your other post cracked me up. :)

I had water births at PSBC - next time I'm thinking we're doing it at home (if there is a next time, that is)

    1. It's fish excrement. Yes, fecal matter. I've NO idea who puts their newborn that close to animal feces... Wow.

  7. Yea, there's like green and yellow stuff all over where he's laying. That's pretty gross! One might assume it's baby food but a baby born September 30th would not be eating solid food for many more months.

    1. They thought it would be uber-cute to post an announcement picture of him on a fish net, like he was just scooped out of the pond. That gross green and yellow stuff is koi excrement, my friend. SO NASTY!! Who puts their newborn that close to fecal matter?!?

  10. Oh my, the Koi are such kind and gentle creatures! I didn't expect them to also dress the baby before bringing it to you. This is truly fascinating.

  11. That is a joke right? I have a koi pond. Even with continuous waterfall and adjustments that water is not birth worthy. Koi feces and urine, left over koi food scraps, green algea, degraded plant stuff, insects and insect larvae. Not to mention near by animals come to the pond to drink and defecate: birds, toads, raccoons, foxes, etc. Congrats on winning the wierdest and less mothersome caring for a child.

    1. Are you sure it's satire? I read the FAQs; they are quite serious.
I mean, I hope to God it's satire!

The fact that they posted an announcement picture of him on a fish net, like he was just scooped out of the pond, makes me believe this is not satire at all. That gross green and yellow stuff is koi excrement, my friend. SO NASTY!! Who puts their newborn that close to fecal matter?!? NUTCASES!
